Amanda Detmer is on her way to stardom. Small, yet well received roles, in Boys and Girls (with Jason Biggs and Claire Forlani) and Drop Dead Gorgeous (with Kirsten Dunst and Denise Richards), have set the stage for Amanda to soon become a household name.
Amanda Detmer is a well trained actress, having studied and graduated from California State College and New York University (where she earned a Master of Fine Arts). The actress learned her craft on-stage in productions of "Othello," "A Streetcar Named Desire" and "The Importance of Being Earnest" before appearing in her first film, "Drop Dead Gorgeous" with Denise Richards and Kirsten Dunst. "Final Destination" and "Boys and Girls" followed, with an upcoming role on the WB show MYOB.
